Ode to My Panaracer
Well, here I am, almost 6 months and approximately 5958
miles later, just outside of Puerto Escondido and I
must say goodbye to a very great tire.
This tire started out on my front rim and then was
switched to the back in Eugene then switched once more
to the front in San Francisco. She suffered only two
flats.
This animal of a tire lasted through the rough and
tough of Alaska, the construction in the Yukon, the
hills of British Columbia, the potholes of the US, and
the cow dung and undulating pavement of
Mexico-Southern Mexico at that.
I buried her at a hotel in Tehuantepec, Oaxaca as I
couldn't just leave it in any trash can. The 700X32C
Panaracer Tourguard lies in peace, hidden in a room at
the Hotel Oasis which is under construction.
A moment of silence please....
